Remedial Massage
The aim of a Remedial Massage is to help your body return to your normal movement patterns after an injury or period of reduced movement which has had an impact on your bodies mobility or function. Your therapist will do an assessment with you to see how your body is moving, or has been affected by your injury and then work with you to develop an appropriate treatment and treatment plan.
The aim of this is to have you return to your usual levels of functionality as best we can. Your therapist may incorporate soft tissue therapy techniques, stretching, joint mobilisation, dry needling and myofascial cupping into your Remedial Massage session.
Remedial Massage can form part of a whole treatment plan for the management of chronic pain conditions, recreational or occupational injuries or postural conditions.
People often seek out Remedial Massage treatments to assist with conditions/injuries such as:
- Lower Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Headaches/migraines

Relaxation Massage has many benefits, some of which include:
- Promoting sleep
- Temporary blood pressure reduction
- Increases circulation
- Clams the nervous system
- Lowers the levels of the stress hormone, cortisol

Dry Needling
Dry needling is an effective treatment technique that targets myofascial trigger points which have become hyper irritable. It is the use of a single filament needle that is inserted into active trigger points, or taut bands of muscle, in order to deactivate and resolve the painful spot, helping to decrease muscle pain and myofascial dysfunction.
Dry needling is not to be confused with the Traditional Chinese Medicine practice of acupuncture. Dry needling is based on Western anatomical and neurophysiological principles and is now widely used in manual therapy fields.
